Ryan Chadwick
Hi, my name is Ryan and I am a Creativity Consultant.
I have always had an interest in how and why people do things and how I can help them do it better.
Values
ExperienceHave been teaching at UTS for 10 years now. In that time I have had great success. As an example of this, one of the subjects I have been heavily involved with (Subject Coordinator, Lecturer, Tutor and creating and refining material and assessments at various points over the years), Unix Systems Programming, has consistently performed well above Faculty and University averages. We also won an award for Outstanding Performance for this subject in Spring 2006. Have been running open brainstorming sessions for Schools in the Sydney Area, for students at UTS and UNSW. These have been a great opportunity to explore and promote better brainstorming. Presented at MoodleCamp Sydney and regularly contribute to Sydney Moodle User Groups. Was one of the key people involved in the development of Homebush Boys High's computer system. One that has been regarded as one of the leading systems in the area. We were blessed in being given the freedom to explore and experiment and ended up with a system that many have been pleased with. Suggested and helped develop a simulated work experience for IT students at Homebush Boys High. It featured a strong focus on freedom for the students in implementing a system and promoted creative thinking in how they solved the given tasks. This project was a huge success and is now expanded into a project spanning several schools simultaneously solving problems via video-conferencing and other collaboration technologies.
Administrator for CreativityGames.net which is providing free resources to an increasing audience. PhilosophyI believe that no matter who you are and what you do you will encounter problems and opportunities to improve. Especially so now that we are living in an information economy and with the abundance of technology we have at our disposal. Creativity is at the heart of your ability to tackle these and as such is one of the most important assets you can hold. I see absolutely everything as an opportunity to learn, an opportunity go improve and an opportunity to make this world better. |
